Modelo 130, box by box
The quarterly income tax instalment is cumulative: each quarter counts the whole year and subtracts what you already paid. That detail is where manual calculations go wrong.
Cumulative, not quarterly
Fider sums income and deductible expenses from January, computes net profit and applies the 20%.
Minus what you already paid
Previous instalments and the withholdings applied to your invoices are subtracted automatically.
With the article 110.3.c reduction
If your annual profit is low, the banded reduction is applied without you having to look it up.
Frequently asked questions
Who has to file modelo 130?
Freelancers under direct estimation, unless at least 70% of last year's income carried withholding. Below that threshold you file it even when the result is zero.
How is the modelo 130 payment calculated?
20% of the net profit accumulated since January, minus the instalments already paid this year and minus the withholdings your clients applied.
What if modelo 130 comes out negative?
You file it at zero and the negative amount is deducted from the following quarters of the same year. Fider carries that result forward automatically.
Does Fider file modelo 130 for me?
No. It prepares the draft box by box so you can review it with your advisor or file it yourself on the AEAT website.
