Calculators

Three sums almost nobody does before signing. Here they take a second.

An estimate using the usual Spanish assumptions (up to 35% of income in instalments, a mortgage of up to 80% of value and 10% in costs). Your bank decides.

What each calculator answers

If the question is how much will I pay, use the loan. If it is how much can I buy, the home. If it is how much will I have, the savings. All three work with no sign-up: type the figures, press calculate and the result is back in a second.

Loan: what you pay a month and what it really costs

Enter the amount, the annual rate and the years, and you get the monthly instalment, the total interest and the total paid. Use it to compare two offers for the same amount over different terms: a longer term lowers the instalment and raises the interest, and here you see by how much. The default rate is 8%, a common rate for personal loans.

Can I buy a home?: the highest price you would be approved for

From your net monthly income, what you already pay in other instalments and the savings you have, it works out the maximum mortgage, the maximum property price, the instalment you would pay and the savings you need. It applies the usual limits: up to 35% of income in instalments, a mortgage of up to 80% of the value and 10% in purchase costs. Use it before viewing homes, not after falling for one.

Savings: what you will have if you contribute every month

An initial amount, a monthly contribution, an annual rate and the years. You get what you will have, what you will have contributed and what interest added. Use it to see the effect of time: the same contribution over 20 years instead of 10 does not double the result, it multiplies it by more, because compound interest speeds up at the end.

After the calculator: your real wealth

A calculator answers one question with hypothetical figures. Fider answers with yours: it adds accounts, investments, crypto, property and debt into one net worth with its valuation time, splits it into personal, freelance and company, and tells you what you can spend this month. Free to start and with no bank connection.
