How to use it

  1. Enter the income you expect for the year without VAT and the deductible expenses excluding the autónomo quota.
  2. Enter what you will pay in quotas this year: it is added back to the profit before the generic deduction.
  3. Keep the 7% generic expense deduction, or 3% if you are a company director.
  4. Read the band and the minimum quota. You may choose any base between the band's minimum and maximum.

How net income is calculated

Income minus deductible expenses, plus the autónomo quotas paid, minus a 7% generic expense deduction (3% for company directors). The result is divided by the months registered. That monthly figure is what the band table is compared against.

The 2026 table

The government extended the 2025 bands and quotas into 2026 through Orden PJC/297/2026 (BOE 31 March 2026). There are 15 bands, from a 653.59 € minimum base for earnings up to 670 €/month to 1,928.10 € for more than 6,000 €/month. The only change is the MEI, up from 0.8% to 0.9%, so the total rate is 31.5% and the minimum quota is 205.88 €.

  • Reduced table: up to 670 €, 670 to 900 €, 900 to 1,166.70 €.
  • General table: 12 bands from 1,166.70 € to more than 6,000 €.
  • Maximum base in 2026: 5,101.20 €.
  • Flat rate for new autónomos: 80 € (88.64 € with MEI) for 12 months, extendable 12 more if you stay below the minimum wage.

You can change band six times a year

If your forecast changes, you adjust the base with Social Security up to six times: February, April, June, August, October and December. The following year, once your tax return is filed, the Treasury regularises: underpaid means you pay the difference, overpaid means a refund.

Source: Orden PJC/297/2026 (BOE 31-03-2026), which extends the 2025 bases and bands into 2026. Quotas computed at the 31.5% rate (MEI 0.9%).

Frequently asked questions

Is the 2026 quota the same as 2025?

Bands and bases are the same. The MEI rises a tenth to 0.9%, so the actual quota rises between 0.65 € and 5 € a month depending on the base.

Why is my quota different from the 200 € I read everywhere?

The 200 € figure excludes the MEI and the mandatory coverages. At the full 31.5% rate on 653.59 € the real minimum quota is 205.88 €.

What if I pick a lower band than I should?

The following year Social Security regularises against your tax return and claims the difference. No penalty, but you do pay it.

Is the quota deductible?

Yes, in full, as an expense in your IRPF and in modelo 130.

Is this the official calculator?

No. It uses the published table and the current rate, but the final calculation is made by Social Security with your tax data. Check it on Import@ss.

What if I am a company director?

The generic deduction is 3% and your minimum base cannot be below that of group 7 of the general regime, even if your earnings are low.
